Christmas grotto at the Dolphin Centre
Added: 8th December 2011
What they asked for:
To be provided with a number of child friendly entertainers to undertake the role of happy hard working elves for Santa's Grotto.
What we did:
Provided giveaways for the children's Christmas presents and costume character promotional staff to play Santa and his helper elves. Upon arrival to the centre it was a quick turnaround for Santa and the elves as they made their way straight to the grotto where large queues were forming full of children taking in the magical wonderland, all ready to give their Christmas requests to Santa. Santa and his elves also took part in scheduled parades throughout the day at the centre, here children were able to get photos and speak to Santa about what they wanted for Christmas and pose for photos.
The elves entertained the children as they waited, posed for photographs, handed out free chocolates and really kept up the Christmas spirit. The chief elf was positioned within the grotto itself and dealt with the children once they had made their way in. Once the children had chatted to Santa, our chief elf captured the moment digitally, gave out the gifts and made sure that every child walked away with their goodies and a photograph. All printing of photographs, printer supplies, stock level management for presents and chocolates, cash handling and banking of funds was dealt with by ourselves with staff reporting in to the account manager at the end of each day. These figures were relayed to our client along with a comprehensive report produced at the end of each week of the activity.
Outcome:
The event was a huge success with Santa, his grotto and his amazing elves all receiving plaudits from children and parents alike. Over the course of the 6 week activity over 4000 children were seen by Santa and his elves, making it one of the most popular attractions the centre had ever seen.
